Seqera Announces Support for AWS for Health Initiative

We are pleased to announce support for the AWS for Health initiative from Amazon Web Services (AWS), a collaboration that allows Nextflow customers to do more science through the availability of the Nextflow platform and Nextflow pipelines in the AWS cloud.

AWS for Health

AWS for Health is an initiative featuring services and solutions from AWS and AWS Partners, built specifically for healthcare, biopharma, and genomics customers. The initiative makes it easier for health customers to select the right tools and partners for their highest-priority workloads across the health ecosystem. For customers looking to accelerate deployments with solution-specific support, AWS for Health also identifies dedicated AWS health industry specialists, AWS Professional Services teams, and leading AWS Partners in each solution area.

“Whether you are building your own sequencing platform in the cloud, bursting an on-premise cluster, or running a pipeline on AWS Batch or Kubernetes, Nextflow and AWS are a perfect pairing. Our customers can run data workloads on AWS Batch and get set up quickly using our unique Tower capabilities to provision infrastructure on demand.”

Evan Floden, Co-founder and CEO Seqera

Nextflow on AWS

Nextflow Enterprise provides broad support for a wide range of AWS services giving our customers ultimate flexibility. The Nextflow Enterprise Extension Pack provides advanced storage capabilities to leverage FSx for Lustre and FUSE S3 for added performance and stability.

Customers can implement the reference architecture for running Nextflow Tower on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), or get up and running with ECS CloudFormation templates. Additionally, the Tower Forge capability can provision the entire AWS Batch stack so your team can spend more time on the science that matters.
