About

Whether you're optimizing pipelines, scaling AI workloads, or exploring Nextflow, our team is here to help. Stop by Seqera booth #621 throughout the week to chat with our experts and see Seqera in action.

Seqera's Director of Scientific Development, Harshil Patel, will also present Advancing Science for Everyone Through Software on Monday, October 6 from 12:05–12:25 PM as part of the Bioinformatics + In silico R&D track.

The talk will showcase how science and technology have evolved together over the last 25 years. We've witnessed transformative scientific breakthroughs from the Human Genome Project and NGS through CRISPR and AlphaFold, while technology exploded from basic computing to powerful cloud platforms and AI. Today's scientific discoveries require sophisticated technology and computing power: teams need more than just workflow tools, they needed better data integration, scalability, and collaboration. Yet, scientific progress is often hindered because the technology is too complex.

That’s why we created Nextflow and Seqera—the Nextflow-first tech stack for scalable bioinformatics. In this talk, we'll discuss core challenges in bioinformatics and demonstrate how we're addressing these with a real-world examples, scaling beyond just workflows.
