About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Legal & People Generalist/Specialist/Manager to support the operational backbone of our Legal and People functions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and owning process-driven, detail-oriented work across contracts administration, compliance tracking, HR/People documentation, onboarding logistics, and employee lifecycle and experience support.
You’ll work closely with the VP Legal & People and collaborate with a cross-section of functions, including Finance and Sales. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and enjoys bringing order, structure, and follow-through to growing teams.
Your Mission
To ensure the smooth day-to-day administration and coordination of Legal and People processes across Seqera’s global team - keeping documentation accurate, workflows efficient, and stakeholders informed.
Be the first point of contact for employees and managers for People-related queries: policies, procedures, and tools.
Handle end-to-end onboarding for new hires across global locations.
Supporting and assisting with every-day legal and contracting needs such as signature processes and policies, sales and procurement contract workflows and implementing general company policies and procedures that relate to the Legal and People function.
Support with mobility processes, including visas, relocations, and local compliance requirements.
Collaborate and assist with the management of:
People/HR documentation: employment contracts, legal and personal records, and document updates.
Employee lifecycle processes such as: Tracking sick leave, holidays, and parental leaves, updating bank account and personal details, training and development.
Supporting Talent Acquisition:
Interview scheduling
CV screening
Recruitment data reporting and analysis
Be the go-to liaison for external People/HR providers, including benefits vendors, and legal and payroll consultants.
Spearheading and owning employee experience including online initiatives to enhance connection and culture
What You’ll Do
Legal Operations Support:
Working closely with the VP of Legal & People, you’ll assist with:
Manage contract lifecycle administration (NDAs, vendor agreements, customer templates, signatures, renewals tracking).
Maintain and organize the contract repository and legal documentation.
Coordinate signature processes and ensure proper document execution and filing.
Support compliance processes (policy updates, training tracking, data privacy coordination).
Assist in maintaining standard templates and updating internal policies.
Support corporate housekeeping tasks and documentation preparation.
People Operations Support:
Working closely with the VP of Legal & People and the Senior People Operations Partner, you’ll assist with:
Assist with employment contracts, addenda, and HR documentation.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes across global locations.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with local requirements.
Track employee lifecycle events (leave, salary updates, promotions, benefits changes).
Coordinate with payroll providers and benefits vendors.
Support visa and mobility administration where needed.
Act as a first point of contact for general People policy queries.
Assist with HR systems administration and data accuracy.
Cross-Functional Support:
Help improve and document internal processes across Legal and People.
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
Ensure confidentiality and careful handling of sensitive information.
Support internal reporting and audit preparation.
What Will Help You Thrive
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of experience in Legal Ops, a paralegal role with corporate and/or employment experience, People/HR Operations or generalist administrative roles
Experience in a startup, scale-up, or international environment is preferred.
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related fields (recent graduates or final-year students welcome)
You speak fluent Spanish and English (professional or native level for both)
