Got a project idea for the Barcelona Hackathon?

Projects are how people get together in groups to have fun during a Hackathon! They can be anything: a new pipeline, a feature, a subworkflow, better tests, docs, turning your favorite tool into a module, or a community initiative. A rough idea or an open GitHub issue is enough to get started.

Projects can be anything from:

✔ Adding new features to existing pipelines

✔ Adding and improving components (modules / subworkflows)

✔ Improving the website and nf-core tooling

✔ Creating entirely new pipelines

✔ Discussing and planning community initiatives

✔ Working on special interest group topics

✔ …anything else

Filling out the form:

• Slack profile link: Link to your profile in the nf-core Slack so people can easily find and message you. Toget the link: open your profile in Slack, right-click your name and select Copy link.

• nf-core Slack channel: Add this only if there’s already an obvious, relevant nf-core Slack channel for the project. For example, the channel for an existing pipeline. Paste a link to the channel. If there isn’t a natural existing channel, leave this blank.

• Project image: Just for fun! Add a meme, silly picture or other memorable image that fits your project. It doesn’t need to be polished, scientific or serious, sillier is often better.

• Goal of project: What would you like to have achieved by the end of the hackathon? Optional: A rough goal is absolutely fine. It's just helpful for folks to know what you're aiming for.

• Description: Give people enough context to decide whether they’d like to join. Briefly explain the problem or idea, what you’d like to work on, and any useful background.
